Network Management Characteristics

• Rich network management content— detailedly record all status information and performance parameters in the operation process of equipments, including alarm type of equipment, occurrence time of alarm, end time of alarm, historic performance parameters of each time point and so on as well as users’ operation process. The record time is only limited by the size of harddisk. The alarm information includes over-high/over-low power supply voltage in each group, over-high/over-low environmental temperature, transmitter failure, receiver failure, non-luminous receiving, receiving desynchronizing, loop loss, video loss, communication failure, operating error; the performance parameters include power supply voltage, environmental temperature, power of transmitting light (2.5G platform), power of receiving light (2.5G platform), etc.
• Bus design for full duplex double-channel network management— two sets of full duplex 485 network management buses form two sets of network management systems, which are respectively used in communication in the sub-frame and communication between sub-frames; they not only can independently work but also flexibly intercommunicate, which greatly improves the reliability and flexibility of network management. When causing to occupy the reverse network management channel due to equipment failure or line failure, the full duplex network management channel insulates the failure equipment, restores the network element state and completes the problem that can’t be solved by the half duplex channel.
• In-band network management— simple & effective and low-cost network management implementation mode, the network management will always follow the place where the optical fiber is paved, and it is necessary to additionally set up the network management optical fiber or pipeline, which effectively reduces the user’s economic burden.
• Redundant network management design— the in-band official channel is obligated in all optical fiber channels, and the official channel can be set as the bus state between frames or bus state in the frame according to requirements, and also can open or close the official channel of network management according to requirements.
• Automatic topologydiscovery—automatically discover and display the type of function tray in the sub-frame, which can save the complex operation of manually increasing function tray after the engineering opens up, and be convenient for users’ management and operation.
• Large-capacity design— the local network management system can manage 253 sub-frames, and each sub-frame can manage 17 function trays located in sub-frame and 17 independent function trays (desktop type independent optical multiplexer), which can totally manage 253* ( 17+17 ) =8602 network units. At the same time, it supports area-dividing networking mode and takes the local network management system as one sub-network to access to the upper-level network management center, and the upper-level network management center can manage 253 sub-networks at most.
• Long-distance network management—two kinds of long-distance network management modes: IE browser or network management software. Besides operators on duty can know at any time the operation conditions of equipments in the machine room, the unit leaders or technical persons also can master at any time the operation conditions of equipments in their own offices and even in other places through IE browser or network management software.
• Manufacturer diagnosis— under the user’s authorization, the manufacturer can know the operation condition of equipments through the public data network, modem or general telecom network or provide the failure analysis, and provide users the considerate technical support anytime and anywhere, which greatly shortens the response time of failure and improves the availability of equipments.
• Uniform human-computer interface— local network management (network management center), long-distance network management and manufacturer diagnosis adopt the same software module and uniform human-computer interface, but they will be configured into the different operation mode and complete the different function according to the different user jurisdiction.
• Layer and area display— solely display and manage the service layer of different levels, which make the network arrangement more clear. Provide the function of area division and management, and the different user jurisdiction is awarded in the different area. The interface software displays network topological diagram, sub-frame topological diagram, sub-frame panel diagram and panel diagram for function module in the different layer; display the structure tree of equipments in the different area.
